If a question is missing, add a page for it in the content studio. The built-in answers stay here.
Where do you work?+–
From Daytona Beach and Deltona through Orlando and Lakeland to Tampa Bay and Sarasota. The city pages list the counties in that corridor. We are not a statewide or a South Florida high-velocity-zone contractor.
Should the roof be replaced before solar?+–
If the underlayment has less life than the array, yes. Taking panels off later to reroof costs more than attaching them to a new system. If the roof is young and the deck is sound, solar on the existing cover can be the right scope.
Is the 30% federal solar credit still available?+–
Not for a homeowner-owned system placed in service after December 31, 2025. The residential Section 25D credit ended. A lease or power-purchase agreement is a different contract, and any commercial credit belongs to the system owner, not automatically to you.
Do you serve the high-velocity hurricane zone?+–
No. The HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward. Central Florida still designs to the Florida Building Code wind speeds. The 8th Edition is in effect until the 9th Edition on December 31, 2026.
Will a new roof lower my insurance?+–
It can improve some lines on a wind mitigation form: the covering, and sometimes deck nailing and secondary water resistance. It does not automatically add roof-to-wall clips or window protection. The insurer, not the roofer, applies the credit.
Which utility’s solar rules apply to my house?+–
The one named on the bill. This corridor includes FPL, Duke Energy Florida, Tampa Electric, OUC, Lakeland Electric, KUA, SECO, New Smyrna’s utility, and Winter Park’s. Neighboring cities are not interchangeable.
What is the difference between 3-tab asphalt and architectural shingles?+–
Both are asphalt. A 3-tab is the thinner, flatter cover and the lower planning price. An architectural shingle is laminated asphalt, thicker, and the common reroof in the Orlando and Tampa suburbs. Either one still needs a Florida product approval that meets the wind speed on the permit.
Do the calculators store what I type?+–
No. Roof, solar, and wind numbers are calculated in your browser. The consult form opens an email. It is not saved as a lead on this site.
How do I add a page or a guide?+–
Use the content studio linked in the footer. Built-in city, service, and guide pages stay in the site. New pages publish at their own addresses and are added to the sitemap.
